During my short two-week stint there, I was tasked with designing a pipe bending jig for the company. Through this project, I realized that the design concepts taught in school weren't from the perspective of manufacturing the product. My engineering mentors made me realize that certain aspects of my design needed tweaking to make it more easily manufacturable.
